How to Apply for a Visa

To apply for a visa, go to How to Apply or call (55) 1163-4677 or (55) 4770-7716 from Mexico City.  When speaking with a representative, you may also:

• Ask questions about the payment procedure
• Ask how to apply to renew your visa
• Ask how to apply for your first visa
• Ask how to submit an application for your child under 6 years old or your family member over 80 years old
• Ask questions about the delivery procedure

• To correct a misprinted visa
• To request an update on an application under administrative processing
• To provide additional information after the interview with the Consular Officer
• To seek assistance if your visa was approved more than ten days ago and your tracking number does not appear in your appointment account

Emergency Appointment Requests

You may request an emergency appointment through our Emergency Appointment Request Process if you need to travel for one of the following reasons:

• A medical emergency,
• death of an immediate family member,
• a business emergency, or
• If you are a foreign non-resident citizen of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) country who has lost or had your biometric passports stolen.
