Groups in general
In order to schedule a group interview, for groups
such as performers, athletes, academics, students, etc.,
travelling in a coordinated fashion for the same purpose,
you will need to send a request to e-mail address Visas_grupos@state.gov
with the words GROUP APPOINTMENTS and
the name of the group in the subject line.
The e-mail must provide the following information:
• Name of group;
• Dates of travel;
• Destination;
• Reason for trip
for example:
- Professional Training;
- Public Performance;
- Academic Program;
- Congress/Conference;
- Sports Meet.
• Name of event/program being attended, with
a brief explanation;
• Total number of members in group;
• Names of members in alphabetical order by
last name (exactly as in passport), followed their respective
date of birth
• Local contact person, telephone number (include area code, known as "LADA") and email.
• Name of contact in the U.S.
You should also attach the approved CIS petition (if
applicable).
The scheduling of the appointment will be delayed if all this information is not submitted. Depending upon travel dates and demand, it can take up to a month to obtain an appointment. Please apply early. |
