Documentation

Have all your documentation ready before the visa interview.

You will need:

• A passport valid for at least 6 months after your interview. Passports should have at least one blank page (without stamps) available to attach a visa. If your passport is still valid but has no available pages, you should obtain a new passport.

Voting Card (IFE Card)

• Appropriate application forms, preferably filled out electronically. (Although some of these forms are also available in the visa line on the day of your appointment, having to fill them out then will result in an additional delay, and you will not be allowed to enter the visa pavilion until the forms are completely filled in.)

  • Proof of payment of the application fee. These fees are to be paid at the BANAMEX Bank once an appointment has been made. Select the link Visa Fees for details.

  • Old passports and visas if available.

  • If your old visa was stolen or lost you must present a police report.  (Note: you will not be issued a replacement "Laser" card, but the equally valid visa glued to your passport.)

The focus of an interview will not be documents. However, the consular officer may wish to see documentary evidence supporting your case. Supporting documentation must be in original and should support your visa application by detailing employment, reason for travel, and/or current financial status. In most cases, these documents should demonstrate that you have motives and intention to return to your country at the end of your visit.

Delivery

Once approved, most visas are delivered to your house by a delivery service. You will also save time at the Embassy by filling out the form online (if necessary, download Adobe Reader). Please note the online screen shows two forms; each one has space for the names of up to four applicants.
