Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)

Welcome to the DEA Mexico City Country Office (MCCO) Web Page.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, in coordination with other supporting U.S. Government agencies, assists the Government of Mexico in the conduct of counter narcotics operations against the production and transshipment of illicit drugs, and money laundering activities of major violators and their organizations. DEA provides the host nation's law enforcement authorities information and training to strengthen their institutional capabilities to prosecute key traffickers, collect drug intelligence, conduct investigation, and seize assets.

The MCCO, is the DEA Country Office in Mexico and it oversees the five other Resident Offices in Mexico. These offices are located in Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Mazatlan, and Monterrey. It is with their help, along with the assistance of the Mexican government, that we are able to put a dent in the fight against Drug Trafficking, not only in Mexico, but around the world as well.

If you are interested in seeing more information about the Drug Enforcement Administration, please visit our Headquarters' Home Page in Washington , D.C. at: http://www.usdoj.gov/dea/index.htm.
