Delays in Passport Processing

Due to a systems issue affecting global passport operations, passport applications accepted at all overseas passport facilities between May 26, 2015 and June 12, 2015 are experiencing delays in printing.  If you applied for a passport during this time frame and have travel plans within the next 10 business days, please consider requesting an emergency passport at the consulate or embassy at which you originally applied.  Information about how to apply for an emergency passport is available at the following link.  

RENEWING A PASSPORT FOR A MINOR? 

Come to renew your child’s passport without an appointment! Simply come to the Embassy  any day we are open (see our Consular Calendar)  between 1:30-2:30 pm ONLY (you must enter the Embassy by 2:30 pm) and you will NOT need to schedule an appointment! Keep in mind that passports take four weeks to receive, so please plan accordingly.Click here for complete details, including what documents are needed.

RENEWING FOR AN ADULT?

If you meet these requirements, you can drop off your renewal application at any time. We recommend you arrive between 11am and 2pm to avoid our busiest periods.
