Celebrating Mexican Independence Day
On Sept. 15, 2006, in the courtyard of the U.S. Embassy, Ambassador Garza and his embassy colleagues celebrated with a toast the 196th Anniversary of Mexico's independence from Spain. The event was hosted by the Embassy's Mexican Employees Association, which represents the approximately 500 Mexicans employed by the Embassy.
