Ambassador Garza Promotes Travel to the United States

At a reception February 15, 2005, Amb. Garza hosted leaders in the travel and tourism industry who were in Mexico City to attend Expo Vacaciones 2005 and participate in the See America Media Day

Other guests included tourism delegations from various states in the U.S.
and representatives from the hotel, airlines and financial institutions in
Mexico.

delighted to welcome them," said Ambassador Garza.

Contintental Airlines; and Ambassador Garza, who cited the strong ties
between Mexico and the United States and stressed the importance of
travel and tourism to cultivate mutual understanding: "Whether it's a
honeymoon to New York, a ski vacation to Colorado or a shopping trip
to Miami, Mexican travel to the United States promotes friendship and
understanding."
