U.S. Ambassador in Mexico Antonio O. Garza, Jr. was very pleased to welcome Mexican NBA basketball player Eduardo Najera to his home. Ambassador Garza wished Najera success in the upcoming NBA pre-season game.

The Ambassador praised Najera: "Eduardo works very hard and he has such a drive to succeed, to win, and never quits. And that is a great lesson for his admirers, to keep going, to never give up." Garza acknowledged Najera for being a "prime example of the Mexican spirit of athleticism and an inspiration for young people in both the United States and Mexico." The Ambassador congratulated Eduardo Najera for his effort to promote the importance of an education among his youngest fans, because it is crucial for success in life.

Najera visited Mexico to promote the pre-season game that will be taking place in Mexico City on October 5th between the Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz.
