Ambassador Garza Greets Students at CENTRO

U.S. Ambassador Tony Garza visited CENTRO, a new private academic institute focusing on design, cinema, television and new media, on December 14, 2004.

CENTRO developed its study programs in collaboration with the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and maintains close relationships with several major U.S. design schools including the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum of the Smithsonian Institution.

The Ambassador praised the school as another example of the synergy between Mexican and U.S. academic and cultural institutions.

“These students are on the leading edge of art and design and of understanding the dynamics of our two markets,” said U.S. Ambassador Tony Garza.

“CENTRO is a big part of the Mexican design movement and we look forward to collaborating on educational opportunities for these talented young designers,” added the Ambassador.
